I am part Mexican on my fathers side, part Panamanian on my mothers
side. I grew up mostly in Monterrey, which is
the industrial city of Mexico.
My high school years were spent at Valley Forge
Military Academy
in Wayne,
I went back to Monterrey
to start college. I come from a family of architects, civil engineers and
artists. Most of my young years were spent at construction sites, my dad´s
office, painting lessons and playing sports. So with this background, I decided
to study Industrial Design, so that I could get the basics of design and then
specialize in all the areas that I like, which are, product design, furniture,
architecture, interior, graphic, urban design, automotive design, I have not
participated in a project of this last one, but I have my hopes up and still
waiting for an opportunity. I lived for a year and a half in Provo, Turks and Caicos Islands, BWI. It´s a small island in the caribbean thats part of the UK. Great white sandy beaches with crystal clear water, deffinitely a place to go back. After Provo, I lived in Panama City, Panama for 8 months. Great place to live, lots of different things to do, and being the country so small, you can get anywhere within a couple of hours.
One of my frequent hobbies is cooking, I actually started writing a book
about it with some of my recipes, experimented on family and friends. All types
of martial arts, don´t really practice as often as I would like to. Drawing
everywhere I can, the doors in my home are painted with black chalkboard paint,
so I use chalk to draw on them all the time, so there are spots in the house
always changing. And last but not least, movies. I am a big movie fan, from
classics, action, comedy, sci-fi, foreign, French and Argentinian cinema is
excellent.
I married my long time girlfriend Paty in October 2007. She´s actually an Interior Designer, so we get along excellent. We have a small chihuahua named Camila, that looks like a Dalmatian, 1/10th it´s size. And we are anxiously waiting the birth of our baby boy Santiago this next November 2010. We currently live in Monterrey, Mexico, for now, you never know where the wind will take you.
